Renovation and construction projects generate a lot of debris fast. Tile from a bathroom gut, drywall from a wall removal, lumber from a deck teardown, concrete from a patio demo, this material is heavy, takes up space, and can't go in a regular trash bin. Here's how construction debris removal works in the DFW area and what it costs.

What we haul

  • Tile and flooring, ceramic, porcelain, hardwood, laminate, carpet and pad, vinyl plank. Heavy loads, priced accordingly.
  • Drywall and plaster) demo waste from wall and ceiling removal, cut-offs and scrap from new installation.
  • Lumber, framing scrap, decking material, fencing, old cabinets and millwork.
  • Concrete and masonry) broken concrete from patios, sidewalks, or foundations; brick and block. Concrete is the heaviest material we haul and priced per weight.
  • Insulation, fiberglass batt and blown-in insulation from attic or wall work.
  • Mixed renovation debris) the general pile of everything from a gut renovation project.
  • Roofing material, old shingles, felt, and flashing from roof replacements.

How construction debris pricing works

Construction debris is heavier than household junk, which affects pricing. A truck that would normally hold a half-load of furniture might only hold a quarter-load of tile before it hits weight limits. We price based on both volume and weight for heavy materials.

Material typePricing note
Mixed light debris, drywall, lumber, carpet)Standard load pricing
Tile and flooringSlightly higher, dense and heavy
Concrete and masonryPriced by weight, call for quote
Roofing shinglesHeavy, quote on volume and weight
Mixed renovation loadAssessed as a combined load

Call and describe what you have, the material types and rough volume. We'll give you a number on the phone. We don't need to come out for a site visit for most jobs.

Junk removal vs. dumpster for construction debris

For extended renovation projects where debris accumulates over days or weeks, a dumpster rental makes sense. For a single-phase demo where everything comes out in one or two days, a junk crew is faster and often cheaper. See our full junk removal vs. dumpster comparison.

What we don't haul from job sites

We don't haul hazardous materials, asbestos, common in pre-1980 DFW homes, lead paint, contaminated soil, or chemical waste. If your renovation uncovered anything that looks like older insulation, floor tile from the 70s, or popcorn ceiling material from before 1980, get it tested before anyone touches it. Asbestos abatement requires a licensed contractor. We handle everything else.

Scheduling around your project

Most Grapevine and DFW renovation contractors want debris hauled at specific points, end of demo day, end of each phase, before inspections. We work around project schedules and can typically commit to a specific window when the job is booked in advance. Call the morning you need us and we'll work to fit in same-day if the schedule allows.
