Option 1: List the best items free on Marketplace

Anything functional that has obvious value to someone, pull it aside and post it free on Facebook Marketplace or Nextdoor. A piece of furniture that sat at $40 all weekend often moves within hours when listed free. Do this first, before anything else. It takes ten minutes to post a photo and you might clear another few items without paying anyone.

Option 2: Drop off at Goodwill or Salvation Army

Load your car with whatever fits in boxes or bags and drop it at the nearest Goodwill or Salvation Army in DFW. This works well for the smaller items, clothing, books, kitchen goods, and general household items. For furniture and large pieces, a pickup appointment is needed and those run a week or two out. If you have boxes of small items, drop-off is same-day.

Option 3: Call a junk crew for the rest
