Old carpet comes out in bundles and rolls that fill up space fast. If you just pulled carpet yourself during a flooring project, or if you had a flooring company install new floors and they did not haul the old material, you are left with a pile that the regular trash service will not take. Here is how carpet removal and haul works in Grapevine and DFW.

Two situations we see most

DIY removal, need a haul. You pulled the carpet yourself to save on labor or because you are doing a phased renovation. The carpet, pad, and tack strips are cut into rolls and sitting in the garage or driveway. We come and load it.

Flooring company left it. Some flooring installers in DFW do not include old carpet haul in their quote. After the new floors go in, the old material is staged outside or in a room and left for you to handle. We handle it.

What we take

  • Carpet rolls and sections, any size
  • Carpet pad (often bundled separately from the carpet itself)
  • Tack strips if bundled with the carpet debris
  • Mixed flooring debris from renovation projects, including old tile, laminate, and vinyl

What it costs

Carpet removal pricing is volume-based, but carpet compresses well, so a typical room's worth of rolled carpet takes less truck space than it looks. A single bedroom carpet and pad usually runs $100 to $150 to haul. A full house worth of carpet from a major flooring project runs $200 to $400 depending on total volume. Call with the square footage or number of rooms and we will give you a number on the phone.

Can you recycle old carpet?

Carpet recycling exists but is limited in the DFW area. Some flooring manufacturers and retailers have take-back programs for specific carpet types. The Carpet America Recovery Effort operates drop-off programs in some markets. For most homeowners with average quantities of old residential carpet, junk removal is the practical path. We do check with local recycling facilities when possible before sending carpet to landfill.

If you have not pulled the carpet yet

We can pull and haul carpet as a combined service in some situations. Call and describe the job. For large-scale carpet removal across a full house before new flooring goes in, we can discuss pricing for pull-and-haul as a single job. This is more common in rental property turnovers and estate clearouts than in standard residential renovations.

Old carpet needs to go? We load and haul the same day in most cases.
